Let me share my story about my "Moonite Ride" on Saturday last week la.
(9/17) I posted it in cornell cycling webmail recently. Let me now share
it with all of u!

Thanks Dmitriy and Erica for their waiting time, I came a bit late on
Saturday nite. We departed from Goldwin Smith at around 11:25pm. Leaded
by Dmitriy, 3 of us headed towards Sapsucker woods (The bird lab) and
had our 30 miles ride around there. Since it was really the Mid-Autumn
Festival in China which the moon is of its brightest in the year, we can
basically see everything without the use of headlight. However for
safety reasons we turn that on most of the time, together with the
blinkers at our backs.

It was midnight and very misty, we stopped by a corn field and attemped
to take some picture by my camera phone in that magical secenic place.
My Morotola V600 showed its weakness at that moment for sure, and I
regret for not taking my camera with a little tripod with me. The
absolutely gorgeous scenery, however, is captured by 6 our eyes clearly.
Pathetically we cant really developed pictures from our retina to share
with everyone of you, we apologize for that

We returned to cornell campus thru Tomkins County Airport and East
Lansing where we got a bit warmer after the breezy yet beautiful
farmlands. We arrived back to RPCC at around 3pm. The estimated distance
of our entire trip was around 30 miles. And we definitely had A LOT OF
FUN!! It was an AmAZinG TriP! Especially thanks for Dmitriy.

After we dismissed, I kept riding for another 2 hours with the Moon and
my shadow. I headed to Tops at Pyramid Mall for "breakfest" afterwards
at around 5.00am. There I saw the manufacture process of our Cornell
boxed sushi at any dining hall.

Here I want to suggest 2 things--
1) My headlight Cateye EL-500, that worked really great on my way where
moonlight was blocked by trees. And tha battary life is really good.(4AA
for 40 Hours it says)
2) We should arrange some ride at night later in the semster, may be
Friday or Saturday nite again. The road was so silent and very enjoyable.
Shall we make some Fullmoon Ride everymonth that is not snowing? :-]

This is how we spent our Mid-Autumn Festival (Moon Cake Festival).
Thanks for reading

Siu Kei..
